biography Petra Stavast

Se was born in Tiel, The Netherlands, 1977.
She works on long-term, documentary-based projects. The point of departure is personal curiosity about people that cross her path, using the medium to get closer to answers. While focusing on capturing small, personal stories, she aims to expound bigger phenomena. She has published several books (Ramya in 2003, China/S75 in 2008 and Libero in 2009) and her work was part of shows worldwide.
